Adaptation: Lighting Tests: Cypress Trees

I have divided the beauty pass render into four sections, each containing a different lighting. I quite like the first and the fourth from the left. I think they look more 'realistic' However, the two in the middle are nice to look at but it is a bit to bright for my liking.

Adaptation: Hibiscus Textures

The gold seems to be a tad pixelated. I am working on that but here are the colour combinations for the Hibiscus flower.

Adaptation: The Peacock Cypress Tree

As this tree is based on the structure of a peacock, I wanted the bark to be blue like the plumage of the bird.
Here are renders that I got on giving the bark a bit of blue.

Adaptation: Lotus Filigree

Okay, so this is the better version of the gold filigree. I put in a gold texture image rather than playing around with the settings of the colour on the blinn.

Adaptation: Texture Render Tests: Lotus

I'm pretty happy with these renders. It's just that the gold filigree appears to be a bit grainy in a few places. Does anyone know how I can get rid of it? Otherwise, I like the way the light is bouncing off of it.

Adaptation: Model Update: Garden Layout and Cypress Tree

Garden Layout
Cypress Tree
Cypress Tree Again...but up close

I'm in the final stages of modelling. The Cypress tree gave me a bit of trouble but I got it to look the way I wanted it to in the end. I need to UV Map the Pagoda and the Fountain and then I shall be ready to move on to texturing.

Commission: Hennie's Project: Background Art for YOLO: Europe Intro

Hennie asked me to create an intro for the travel show that she is conceptualizing for her minor project. I put together a few scenes in two different styles. These will serves as backdrops for the animation that will become the 25 second intro.
